AFDA Express Version 2 is the result of a project to review AFDA and AFDA Express to revise and roll-up functions, address new retention and destruction requirements, and improve usability and discoverability.
The National Archives progressively reviewed and retired AFDA (2010) and AFDA Express (2010, amended 2013) and issued 15 revised functions that comprise AFDA Express Version 2 effective from 1 July 2019.
Each function is accompanied by a Mapping Guide and Index to assist with implementation by mapping old AFDA/AFDA Express classes to new AFDA Express Version 2 classes.
